A refreshing and uplifting oil to improve mental clarity and sharpen the senses. Due to its antimicrobial and antibacterial properties lemon has been traditionally used as a cleaning ingredient and for sore throats, colds and flus.
Best ways to use Lemon essential oil:
- Direct Palm / Nasal Inhaler: Place a drop of oil in the palm of your hand, gently rub the hands together, cup your hands around your nose and take a deep breath in through the nose to revive spirits and awaken the mind. You can also add several drops to nasal inhaler and breathe in throughout the day. You can repeat multiple times though out the day.
- Diffuser: Lemon is a wonderful oil to diffuse throughout the whole house to liven the spirits and purify the air (great to mix with sweet orange and lime)
- Add a couple of drops to a facial steam bath to help break up mucus (great with peppermint).
- Cleanser: add lemon essential oil and water to a spray bottle to disinfect your working station, children’s room or anywhere that might need a quick cleanse (add eucalyptus for a refreshing scent).

Bergamot, chamomile, eucalyptus, frankincense, juniper, lavender, mandarin, neroli, rose, sandalwood, sweet orange and ylang ylang.
Fun facts: The ancient Greeks used lemon to perfume clothing. The peel contains bioflavonoids and vitamin C to help with immunity.
Cautions: Lemon essential oil is potentially phototoxic so do not apply before going out into sunlight. Lemon could be irritating for some skin types. Do not apply directly to the eyes or mucous membranes.
