A calming oil that improves mental clarity and mood. Due to the azulene constituents it makes for a great anti inflammatory. This is a 10% dilution in a base of fractionated coconut oil.
Best ways to use Yarrow essential oil:
- Direct Palm / Nasal Inhaler: Place a drop of oil in the palm of your hand, gently rub the hands together, cup your hands around your nose and take a deep breath in through the nose. You can also add several drops to nasal inhaler and breathe in throughout the day. You can repeat multiple times though out the day.
- Diffuser: Yarrow is great to add to a diffuser to increase mood (add clary sage)
- Massage onto face with a base of witch hazel to cleanse the skin (add tea tree, palmarosa and lavender)
- Add several drops to bath salt to relive congestion (add eucalyptus)
Other oils it blends well with:
Atlas Cedar, chamomile, clary sage, forest pine, frankincense, myrrh.
Fun facts: In China it is considered a sacred plant. In Nordic countries hops is replaced by yarrow for beer making.
Cautions: it is considered a non-irritant and non-sensitizing, but is recommended in small amounts at low dilution.
